🏢 The story

Hera was founded in 2025 by Peter Tribelhorn and Chia-Lun Wu . Peter previously managed successful YouTube channels with over 30 million subscribers (including Economics Explained and The Game Theorists ) and experienced firsthand how motion designers spent hours doing mechanical clicking instead of working creatively.

His co-founder Chia previously built Vyond Studio , which is now used by over 20,000 companies. Together they realized that 95% of the time spent in motion graphics is dedicated to manual clicking – not creative work. This insight became the foundation of Hera.

Just eight weeks after its launch in May 2025, the tool had already recorded 100,000 waitlist sign-ups and over 200,000 animations created in the first two weeks. The company is part of Y Combinator and is doubling its revenue monthly. 📈
